This project turns Mars into a blank canvas, allowing users to shape their future visions and voice present concerns through co-design. Developed for a thesis at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Napoli, it draws inspiration from Bradbury's novels and Bauman's "Liquid Society," highlighting the uncertainties of modern life.
Envisioned for multiple Italian cities, the project features a hypothetical structure that simulates a journey to Mars. However, it's designed to make users reflect on past, present, and future, emphasizing the importance of cherishing the current moment over fantasizing about escape to another planet.
The initiative uses physical space and storytelling to foster social and personal awareness, engaging users in an emotional and cognitive journey. It encourages reevaluation of one's relationship with time and space, underscoring the need to appreciate and preserve our current world.
The structure is divided into three stages: reflecting on the past, analyzing the present, and contemplating the future. Each phase aims to evoke specific emotions and thoughts, leading to greater self-awareness and context understanding. The design and activities are crafted to emotionally connect users with the concepts of time and preservation.
